Mental Health

NHS 111

If you are in need of urgent mental health support, or you are not sure where to turn to get advice and guidance on your mental health, call 111 and press 2.

Mental health support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling NHS 111 Wales and selecting option 2.

It is important to prioritise your mental health and wellbeing. If you need to talk to someone, or you are concerned about a loved one, 111 Press 2 is available to offer urgent advice, guidance, and support.

The number is free to call from a landline or mobile and is available for anyone living within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

In life-threatening situations, always call 999 or attend the nearest Emergency Unit.

*Please note, 111 Press 2 is not a counselling service and the team is unable to undertake medication reviews or review existing appointments or referrals. If you are already seeking mental health support within the community, please continue to use this method as your first point of contact.

111 Press 2 is an urgent service offering assessment and signposting advice for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis or requiring support to manage their symptoms.
